It started as a joke. One day as the two of us were driving back through Ann Arbor, Andrew looked over at me and asked, “Wouldn’t it be cool to travel the country?” I laughed, “Of course it would.” We dismissed it as yet another foolish pipe dream to be looked back upon fondly in years to come. Two months later, we had booked the first hotel of our inaugural trip around the country in Nashville, TN. Before I knew it our dream became a reality, and we were blasting down the highway on our way across the nation. Since then the idea has grown, evolved, to possess a will of its own. Something inspired us on that trip, something we can’t escape no matter how hard we try. The raw, unadulterated, absolutely mind-boggling, breathtaking, jaw-dropping scenery that can be found plastered across our great country, coast to coast.
It has become our goal to share this dream with whomever we can, offering a window into that incredible world that captivated us, and so many others like us. No matter who you are, or where you live, or what you do, we can all agree that the world is an amazing place, a place too grand for words, one that can hardly be expressed in such a simple thing as a website. So we’re hoping that our site and our dream will encourage you, to go out and see it for yourself. To see the planet that birthed us and all of its wonders, with your own eyes, to walk it with your own feet, and to inspire others to do the same. Our aim isn’t to be a simple blog, we’re not trying to just tell our story, we’re trying to share some of the greatest experiences of our lives, in the hopes that it might help you to form yours. What are the best things to do in Yosemite? What’s the best way to get around Seattle? How can you get the most out of Zion in a single day? What natural hidden gems can be found within just a couple hours of your hometown? Come, live our trips vicariously as we answer all this and much, much more. After all, this is the world as we know it.
